MEET THE FOUNDER
Jen Laurence, PhD
Jen is an estate management and operational governance advisor working at the intersection of private service, leadership, and lived residential systems. For more than 25 years, she has worked across ultra-high-net-worth private estates and luxury hospitality environments, developing a rare capacity to see how service, authority, culture, and daily life actually function inside complex homes.
She is the Founder of Luxury Lifestyle Logistics, through which she works as a traveling advisor engaged for focused, time-bound, on-site consultations. Jen is brought in to observe estates in motion, facilitate high-level conversations with owners and leadership teams, and bring clarity to systems that may have become misaligned through growth, transition, or unspoken expectations. Her role is intentionally independent: she enters, sees clearly, intervenes thoughtfully, and leaves the system stronger than she found it.
Jen’s professional foundation is rooted in classical private service and estate management, including formal butler training, earning her undergrad and masters degrees in hospitality, and decades of hands-on leadership within luxury residential environments. Over time, she became increasingly aware that many challenges inside private households were not failures of effort or talent, but failures of structure, language, and leadership alignment. What families often describe as “fit,” “vibe,” or “chemistry” are, in fact, unarticulated systems shaping behavior beneath the surface.
That realization led her back to scholarship.
Jen’s doctoral research in Organizational Leadership formally defines modern estate management as a leadership discipline—the first academic work of its kind worldwide. Her work provides a foundational framework for understanding governance dynamics, change management, emotional labor, and the operational psychology of private households. This research does not sit apart from her advisory practice; it deepens it, giving language to patterns families and estate teams often sense, but struggle to name.
Jen is most often engaged during moments of transition, repeated turnover, or increasing complexity—when households recognize that the issue is not the people, but the system supporting them. During on-site engagements, she works directly with principals and estate leadership teams to align authority with responsibility, recalibrate expectations, and design service cultures capable of holding real life, not just ideal scenarios.
Her advisory work also extends to select luxury hospitality and service-driven organizations seeking to translate bespoke-level care, leadership clarity, and refined service culture into commercial environments.
Jen values environments that allow people to live and work with intention. She approaches every engagement with discretion, steadiness, and deep respect for privacy—understanding that clarity is most powerful when introduced without spectacle.
At its best, estate management is not about perceived perfection. It is about leadership that can hold both formality and family life.
