Jen Laurence

Jen Laurence is a consummate hospitality professional and trusted authority in estate operations, with more than 25 years of distinguished experience across luxury hospitality and private service. Renowned for her precision, grace, and depth of expertise, she specializes in optimizing household workflows, developing bespoke service protocols, and cultivating high-performing estate teams that exemplify excellence in care.

As a Doctoral Candidate in Organizational Leadership, Jen is conducting the first-ever doctoral study in the modern-day estate management industry—marking a historic milestone in the field’s academic recognition. Her groundbreaking research explores the professionalization of estate management and the evolution of service culture within ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) environments. By blending academic insight with real-world experience, she brings an unmatched perspective to leadership development, conflict resolution, and organizational transformation within luxury residential estates.

Her journey began with an estate management internship early in her college career, where she discovered her life’s calling: to elevate the art and science of domestic service. A lifelong learner committed to excellence, she graduated with honors from the only all-women’s hospitality school in North America and earned her master’s degree in Hospitality Management with honors from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also holds advanced credentials as a Wine Sommelier, Visual Communications Specialist, and Protocol Officer from The Protocol School of Washington. A graduate of the prestigious Charles MacPherson Academy for Butlers and Household Managers, she completed the program at the top of her class and continues to champion education, ethics, and professionalism in private service worldwide.

For more than two decades, Jen has been at the forefront of shaping the modern estate management movement. As Vice President and later President of the Domestic Estate Managers Association – Chicago Chapter for ten consecutive years, she helped professionalize the industry through education, advocacy, and peer development. A sought-after speaker and thought leader, she has presented at national conferences and appeared on numerous industry podcasts, advancing the conversation around leadership, ethics, and excellence in service.

Today, as Principal Liaison Director for the Private Service Alliance, Jen continues to influence the national dialogue on best practices, stewardship, and professional standards in private service. Her consulting philosophy is rooted in emotional intelligence, precision, and grace—ensuring that every facet of estate management, from daily operations to long-term strategy, reflects the highest levels of discretion, integrity, and care.

A lover of the sea and of sunsets, Jen finds balance and inspiration in the natural world. Beyond her professional achievements, she enjoys cooking, practicing target archery 🏹, and sharing the energetic properties of essential oil aromatherapy and other healing modalities —pursuits that reflect her belief that hospitality, at its finest, is both an art and a way of life. ✨
